Strings for Everyone
Since GOSEN created the world's first synthetic racket string in 1954, GOSEN has offered the widest range of tennis strings in the world to meet the needs of all tennis players.
We Manufacture, We Evaluate.
-How GOSEN compare the String Characteristics-
At GOSEN, the performance of the string is evaluated from the following four characteristics. Each attribute is rated on a 10-point scale, with higher numbers being better.
This characteristic comparison is only within the same string series and is not a comparison of all GOSEN Strings.
DURABILITY
It represents the durability of the string. At GOSEN, the nylon string is hit with a tennis ball at a speed of 100 km/h, and the polyester string is hit at a speed of 120 km/h. The higher the number, the better the durability.
POWER
It represents the speed and bounce of the ball. The coefficient of resilience is measured using GOSEN's original method. The higher the number, the faster the ball speed.
SOFT FEELING
It represents the softness of the shot feeling. It is evaluated based on the stiffness values obtained from the physical property test and the feeling obtained from the human test. The higher the number, the softer the feel at impact.
SPIN
Represents the spin on the ball. It is evaluated from the high position drop rotation rate and the low position drop rotation rate. The higher the number, the more spin is applied.
