The Development Story of GOSEN GRAVITAS Badminton Racket
In baseball and golf, there is a term for this: "Strike the Core."
It is the feeling of being certain that the swing energy has been transmitted to the ball without any loss of energy.
In badminton, too, the same expression is often used, However, the scientific mechanism of this feeling has not been clarified until now.
It was necessary to analyze this phenomenon in order to create a racket that could consistently reproduce the "Strike the Core" feel in badminton.
Badminton is not a sport of hitting a spherical ball, It is a unique sport in which the player hits a shuttlecock, which is intricately composed of a cork section and a feather section.
In addition, badminton is a sport in which the difference between the initial and final velocities is significant. Therefore, the shuttlecock behaviour after impact is also extremely complex.
This highly complex mechanism was photographed and analyzed using an ultra-high-speed camera. GRAVITAS was developed based on the results of this research.
The name " GRAVITAS" is derived from the moment the core of the racket strikes the shuttlecock.
